Operation Read Memphis

EnRICH Academy offers literacy support to middle school students. The curriculum, CommonLit, aligns with Tennessee standards seen on standardized tests. The chosen text focuses on often un-shared black and brown stories. Students are able to use critical thinking skills and research.

Operation Read Memphis uses books to promote reading for elementary-aged students. Each month, students compete in a digital contest to earn various prizes using the platform, Epic. To date, more than 1,000 reading hours have been logged! Past incentives include in-kind donations from Main Event, Chick-Fil-A, The Children's Museum of Memphis, The Memphis Zoo, Huey's, Memphis Hustle, JH Snacks, and Shelby County Government. Through Operation Read Memphis, children also receive books donated are by black and brown authors.
