Richardson Education Incorporated, doing business as Reading With Mrs. Richardson ("Reading With Mrs. Richardson," "we," "us," or "our"), is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Memphis, Tennessee. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect personal information when you visit readingwithmrsrichardson.org (the "Site"), submit a form, make a donation, or otherwise interact with us online.

By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide to us

We collect information you choose to give us, including when you:

• sign up to volunteer, request a program, request tutoring, or ask about a partnership (for example, your name, email address, phone number, organization, role, and the details of your request)
• make a donation (for example, your name, email address, mailing address, gift amount, and any note or dedication you include)
• subscribe to updates or contact us by email or social media.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical information, such as your browser type, device type, IP address, referring website, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. We may collect this information using cookies and similar technologies, as described in Section 5.

Information about children

The Site is intended for adults, including parents, educators, partners and donors. See Section 9 for more information.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• respond to your questions and requests
• plan and deliver programs and book distributions
• coordinate volunteers and community partners
• process donations and send acknowledgment and tax receipts
• send updates about our work, if you have asked to receive them
• understand how visitors use the Site and improve it
• protect the security of the Site and prevent fraud or misuse
• comply with legal, tax and reporting obligations.

3. How we share information

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

• Service providers. We use trusted third parties, including Wix.com, to host the Site, process donations, manage forms and email, and measure Site traffic. These providers may access personal information only to perform services for us and are expected to protect it.
• Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, safety or property of Reading With Mrs. Richardson, our participants or others.
• With your consent. We may share information for any other purpose with your permission, such as recognizing a donor or partner by name.

4. Donations and payment processing

Online donations are processed by third-party payment platforms, currently Givebutter and PayPal. When you give, your payment information is collected and processed directly by those platforms under their own privacy policies and security standards. Reading With Mrs. Richardson does not receive or store your full credit card or bank account number. We receive information such as your name, contact details, gift amount and date so that we can acknowledge your gift and keep accurate records.

5. Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working properly, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the Site, for example through Wix Analytics. You can set your browser to refuse or delete cookies. Some parts of the Site may not work as intended if you do.

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. Because there is no common standard for responding to these signals, the Site does not currently respond to them.

6. Third-party links and services

The Site contains links to and content from third parties, including payment platforms, online stores, social media platforms and Google Forms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites and services, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to meet legal, tax, accounting and reporting requirements. Donation records are generally kept for the period required by law.

8. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through the Site, please contact us and we will delete it. Photographs of students appear on the Site only with the permission of a parent, guardian or partner school.

10. Your choices and rights

• Email. You may unsubscribe from our emails at any time by using the link in the message or by contacting us.
• Access, correction and deletion. You may ask to review, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by contacting us. We will respond within a reasonable time, subject to any records we are required to keep by law.
• Mail and phone. You may ask us to stop contacting you by mail or phone at any time.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
